Shipping information

We use experienced and dependable shipping companies according to the size and destination of the item. All items have to be signed for on arrival.  We are pleased to offer free shipping to all our customers in the UK and to keep to flat rates for international customers.

Packaging

All items are carefully packed for you in a special luxury gift box tied with ribbon. Bags are contained in a custom cotton dust bag in addition to the box and ribbon packaging.  Small accessories are tissue wrapped and in a gift box tied with ribbon ready for gifting.

Delivery times

Stock permitting, all orders placed with us are dispatched to customers within 5 working days, usually much sooner. Whilst we have no precise control over the delivery of items to you, indicative timings are as shown above.

Tax and duty

For shipments outside of the European Community, shipping rates are not inclusive of any customs or import duties that may be levied when the package reaches your destination country.

Accuracy of content

We take every care to ensure that the description and specification of our products are correct at the time of publication on the webshop. However, while the colour reproduction of the products is a close representation, we cannot accept responsibility for variations in colour caused by your own browser software or the operating system of your computer, phone or tablet.

Caring for your items

Each of our bags has been hand made by highly skilled artisans in Italy using a variety of specialist techniques. These bags are very special and need to be cared for to prolong their life and retain their beauty. Please store your bag in the protective cloth bag it arrived in, wipe off any marks with a soft dry cloth and keep it away from direct sunlight, heat and damp, chemicals and sharp or rough objects that will scratch it. If it gets wet, allow it to dry naturally at room temperature.

Laser cut bags: These are hand crafted in leather with a leather suede lining. To preserve the beauty of your laser cut bag, avoid catching the patterned area on any sharp objects. If you aren't using it for a while, store it in a dry, cool, dark place (excess heat and direct sunlight can affect the leather quality) in its original protective dustbag and stuff it with dry tissue paper to retain its shape. Ideally store it in the original box it arrived in to avoid it getting squashed. Over time small creases may appear. This is the natural effect of leather wearing naturally over time.

Printed bags: These specially printed canvas coated bags are made of durable materials trimmed in leather. To prolong their life and maintain their beauty please care for them by making sure they dry out naturally if they get wet. Store your bag in the protective dustbag it arrived in. When not in use store in a dry, cool, dark place to preserve the leather sections of the bag. You can wipe clean the coated canvas area with a soft damp cloth. Over time the bag may develop small creases as a normal part of its natural wear.

Python bags: Our Python bags are made using the finest natural materials. The material is strong and elastic but also of a delicate nature and, over time, the skin will crease and the scales may lift. There may be some colour loss if left in bright sunshine for prolonged periods of time. These are all the natural features of such highly desirable exotic skins. Do not use cleaners on your bag and avoid getting it wet. If it does get wet allow it to dry out thoroughly at room temperature and away from bright lights.

Sizing

Approximate dimensions for each piece are stated on each product page. Please note that these sizes are approximate as each piece may vary very slightly due to the finishing process.

Payment methods

We accept online payment in a secure environment by credit card only. We currently accept Visa, MasterCard, Delta, Switch and American Express. All transactions are shown in British Pounds Sterling (£). All prices quoted on this website are accurate at the time of publication. Unfortunately we do not accept payment via PayPal.

Taxes and duties

All prices on the webshop are given in British Pounds Sterling (£) and are shown inclusive of UK sales tax (VAT) at the current rate which is 20%. This will appear on your order confirmation and is itemized for you as you pass through the checkout.

If your order is being shipped to a destination outside the European Community (EC) this sales tax will be deducted at the checkout stage and this will be shown on your invoice. If your order is being shipped to a country which is a member state of the EC then the total price will include VAT at the current rate.

Unfortunately we have no control over any customs or import duties that may be levied when the package reaches your destination country and for which you will be liable.

Please be advised that for shipments within the UK and the EC the amount of tax (VAT) will be indicated separately but the overall total will be as advertised.

Every care has been taken to ensure the content of our website is accurate at the time of posting and that all our products have been fairly described, however if there are any material errors in the description or pricing of our goods your order may not be accepted. Delivery

We provide free delivery within the UK for all items. Shipping costs to other destinations are listed in our Shipping section. Please be aware that deliveries outside the UK may be subject to taxes and extra charges which you will be responsible for. We do not have control over these charges and therefore are unable to provide information about local charges.

We aim to dispatch your goods as soon as your order is accepted by us, however we cannot guarantee an exact delivery date unless you request a special next day delivery service at an extra cost to you. If the goods you ordered are not in stock there may be a delay in dispatching your order but you will be notified immediately of any delay. Goods dispatched outside the UK may take longer.

 

Returns Policy

If you cancel your order before the goods are dispatched we will refund your payment and terminate the dispatch. We will offer an exchange or refund to the credit or debit card that you paid with if goods are returned unused in all the original packaging within 14 days of receipt.

In the unlikely event your goods are faulty you must return them within 14 days. All goods undergo a thorough quality control check before sending out. Upon receipt of an order, if any item has been delivered damaged or faulty, you should notify us straight away by email by clicking here. We strongly advise all customers to check items thoroughly upon delivery before use. We will not accept returns for any non-faulty items that have been used. Items returned to us as faulty will be inspected and if deemed subject to fair wear and tear will not be accepted as faulty.

We will undertake any repairs on faulty goods up to 6 months from date of purchase. If your bag needs repairing through normal wear and tear we will charge for this service.

All items returned within this clause must be carefully and securely packaged to ensure no damage during transit. You will be responsible for the returned items until they reach our warehouse. We cannot accept items or give you a refund if they have been damaged through transit or otherwise.

We strongly recommend that you have proof of postage by using recorded or special delivery post as we cannot refund for goods that have been lost in the post.

You warrant that all information supplied by you in using this website is true and accurate and that you have the legal authority to purchase goods or services using this website.

 

Privacy

All information provided by you will be treated securely and strictly in accordance to the Data Protection Act 1998. We will validate name, address and other personal information supplied by you against appropriate third party databases to ensure that your credit or debit card is not being used without your consent. You will need to provide us with certain data including your name, invoice address, delivery address, e mail address and phone number when placing an order with us. This data will be stored securely and only used to contact you regarding your order or provide you with further information on our products and site. There is also a ‘newsletter’ on the site for you to sign-up to for regular updates. We ask you to supply your name and email address if you wish to receive news on our new product launches and offers.

Cookies are used by us to only store information to enable us to identify if you are registered with us and to shortcut your access to the site and products and only from your cookie file placed there through your browser’s interaction with the site.

We do not, under any circumstances provide email addresses to any third party, share the information we track on this site, in any form, with advertisers or other parties, release personal information about any individual visitors. At your request we will remove you from the email update service. Please click on the 'unsubscribe' link at the foot of the email and follow the prompts to do so. Please note we are not responsible for the content or the privacy policies of web sites to which this site may link.

 

Jurisdiction

This website, these terms and conditions and any contract entered into as a result of using this website are governed by and construed in accordance with English Law. The parties to any such contract agree to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.

 

Liability

Save as precluded by law, we will not be liable to you for any indirect or consequential loss, damage or expenses (including loss of profits, business or goodwill) howsoever arising out of any problem you notify to us under the preceding clause and we shall have no liability to pay any money to you by way of compensation other than to refund to you the amount paid by you for the goods in question if returned within seven days of receipt.

You must observe and comply with all applicable regulations and legislation, including obtaining all necessary customs, import or other permits to purchase goods from our site. Certain national laws may prohibit the importation or exportation of certain of our goods to you. We make no representation and accept no liability in respect of the export or import of the goods you purchase.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, nothing in these terms and conditions is intended to limit any rights you might have as a consumer under applicable local law or other statutory rights that may not be excluded nor in any way to exclude or limit our liability to you for any death or personal injury resulting from our negligence.

Has your order been received by us?

When you place an order with us, a confirmation of your order and the amount charged to your credit card will be sent to the email address you have registered with us. This document will contain your unique order number and details of the items you have purchased. Please keep this documentation somewhere safe in the event that you have to contact us about yoour order.

What's the status of your order?

The confirmation email you receive contains a link to your order status that is updated as your order is processed and shipped to you. If you click on this link you will be taken to your order status page at this webshop. You will need to login with your email address and password to view your order status.

Can you cancel your order?

Once your order has been confirmed, it is possible to cancel at any point until the packing and shipping process has started. If you want to cancel your order please contact us by clicking here.

What if your choice is not available?

In nearly all circumstances you will find that items shown on the webshop are in stock at the point of making your purchase. In the very unlikely event that we are unable to complete your order, you will be informed by email and your payment refunded. We will always do our best to source the product for you from our stockholding.

Registration and login

You do not need to login or register in order to browse the shop. However you cannot complete a purchase in the shop unless you have registered your details (your name, email address and shipping address). Login as a returning customer, or register for the first time. Your login details are stored securely and remain confidential. We will not sell your data to third parties or share your data with other companies.

The shopping bag

When you are shopping at our webshop and add items to your shopping bag they will be saved. The shopping bag holds the products you wish to purchase while you browse in the same way that you use a shopping basket in a retail store. Items can be removed at any point until you finally confirm your order as you pass through the checkout.

Secure payments

We take all reasonable care to make our webshop is as secure as we can. All credit card transactions on this site are processed using SagePay secure online payment gateway that encrypts your card details in a secure host environment. Card details are not stored on our servers. We will take all reasonable care, in so far as it is in our power to do so, to keep the details of your order and payment secure, but in the absence of negligence on our part, we cannot be held liable for any loss you may suffer if a third party procures unauthorised access to any data you provide when accessing or ordering from the this webshop.

Returning items

If you are not happy with your item you may return the item to us within 14 days of receipt of your order. All returned items must be in perfect condition and in their original packaging. Original packaging includes the original protective tissue stuffing, the swing tag, the dustbag and the gift box with ribbon, except for the leather stationery where the dustbag and tissue is not included. The cost of returning the item and proof of posting is your responsibility.

Repairs and after care

We will undertake repairs free of charge for all faulty bags up to 6 months old. In the unlikely event that your bag is faulty on receipt please return the item to us within 14 days following the instructions for Returning items.

If you would like your bag repaired due to wear and tear please contact us at customerservice@tamarasalman.com and we will be able to provide you with a quote for the cost of repairs. Repairs are carried out by our manufacturer in Italy.
